Queens Park Lottery Bid
Swindon Council is submitting a bid for lottery funding for Queens Park in 2008. If
successful, projects could include opening the path right around the park, a play area,
renovating the old glasshouse and better fencing. If you would like to become involved

Auction Success - 3rd November Auction Raises £244.80
One of the highlights was a bottle of House Of Commons whiskey donated by local MP
Anne Snelgrove who opened the auction. Items ranged from a meal at the Harvester
Restaurant to a somewhat used toy talking parrot.
Eastcott Police Neighbourhood Priorities Set
These were set at the October public meeting in the Civic Offices as:
Anti-social behaviour
Littering
Speeding
Recent months have also seen notable successes for the police team in tackling
drugs with the discovery of two homes where cannabis plants were being grown.
The gardening programmes on the television have a lot to answer for!
